In July 28, 2009, the Cofradia de la Virgen de la Soledad de Porta Vaga, Inc. received an Apostolic Blessing from the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI through his Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, His Excellency, Most Rev. Edward Joseph Adams.  On this solemn occasion, Archbishop Adams, blessed the Cofradia's Pilgrim Icon which shall visit various communities in and out of Cavite.  Here, he likewise expressed his prayers for all devotees and that he would love to visit Cavite sometime, and venerate Cavite's Patroness personally.
